Hi, I'm Emily.

Welcome to my site! This site is home to some of my creative projects including but not limited to: writing, data journalism, art, and other stuff that makes me, me!

I am a university student studying data science and environmental systems. I have previously interned at NASA doing data analytics for plane operations, at the World Wildlife Fund researching conservation tech, and also the United States Space Force in a SATCOM operations lab.

I am very passionate about people. As a result, I like reading about anything human computer interaction, computational sociology, and AI policy related. On campus, I was an ambassador on behalf of Claude by Anthropic, where I organized an AI safety themed hackathon. I am also a resident assistant, where I support students through planning community events, conflict management, and crisis response.

Other stuff: I am an artist of all sorts, my favorite mediums are watercolor and oil pastel. Things I want to do eventually: fly a plane, visit Petra, ride the Venice Simplon Orient Express, and build a greenhouse.
